Boxing Day sales in Canada, with the fake discounts filtered out
Boxing Day 2026 is Saturday, December 26, and Boxing Week runs to the end of the year. Price Watch tracks Canadian store prices every day, so the Boxing Day deals below are only the ones that are really under what the product usually sells for.
Key dates
When is Boxing Day 2026? Saturday, December 26, the day after Christmas. Many Canadian stores open their online Boxing Day sales on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, then run “Boxing Week” prices through December 31.
Boxing Day is when stores clear holiday stock, so it’s the best time for a real clearance: the same model marked down at several stores at once. It’s also when “up to 70% off” banners hide ordinary prices. The checks below tell the two apart.

Prices change fast and stores cancel many price-error orders. Check the price at the store before you buy.
How we tell a real deal from a fake discount
Most “was $999, now $499” tags compare against a price nobody paid. Price Watch reads the shelf price at each store several times a day and keeps 30 days of it, so every alert is checked against what the product actually sold for, and against the other stores.
Its own 30-day median
We compare today’s price with the product’s median over the last 30 days. A “sale” price it has sat at all month isn’t a drop.
The same model at other stores
We match the model number across stores. A price mistake is 50%+ under what the others charge. When 2+ stores cut the same model 30%+, it’s a real clearance.
Strike-through prices filtered
A crossed-out “regular” price alone never makes an alert. If the item has been at the sale price for 3+ days, it’s a standing sale, not news.
A last check reads each alert for accessories, multipacks and mismatched products before it goes out. Most possible deals fail one of these tests, and we don’t post them.

Questions
When is Boxing Day 2026 in Canada?
Saturday, December 26, 2026. Boxing Week sales usually continue through December 31.
When do Boxing Day sales start in Canada?
Online, often on Christmas Eve (Thursday, December 24) or Christmas Day. In stores, on Boxing Day itself, Saturday, December 26. Prices keep moving all through Boxing Week.
Are Boxing Day deals better than Black Friday deals?
For clearance of holiday stock, often yes; for electronics, Black Friday prices are often matched rather than beaten. Either way, compare each price with the product’s own 30-day history instead of the sale tag. That is what Price Watch does for every deal on this page.
How can I tell if a Boxing Day sale is real?
Look at what the product actually sold for over the last month, not the crossed-out “regular” price. Price Watch flags a deal only when it is well under its own 30-day median or under what other Canadian stores charge for the same model, and ignores sale prices that have been sitting for days.
Is Boxing Day a statutory holiday in Canada?
It is a statutory holiday in Ontario and for federally regulated workplaces. In most other provinces it is not a general holiday, though many employers give the day off. With December 26, 2026 on a Saturday, some workplaces give Monday, December 28 off instead.
Is Price Watch free?
Yes. Joining the Discord is free and shows every price mistake 15 minutes after Premium members, plus good deals, clearances, price history and email watches. Premium is optional and gets the mistakes first.
